SIPOO MITTENS - ENG
This pattern is in English.
You will receive a link to download this pattern in a digital PDF format.
The Sipoo Mittens are worked bottom-up, featuring colorwork inspired by the historic Sipoo Tapestry, dating back to the 18th century. The strong floral vine motif framing the tapestry runs around the fingers, bringing the tapestry’s story to life in knitwear form.
This pattern is for personal use only and may not be used for any commercial purposes.
WORKFLOW
The mittens are worked starting from the cuff with the Italian cast on and half twisted rib. A well-fitting Indian thumb gusset is worked before the thumb stitches are left on hold, and after that, the colorwork is worked as two- or three-color colorwork.
